Hey guys, I just had my pole barn garage built & Im about to get electricity installed.

I was wondering if all my wiring has to be run through conduit or is it alright just to staple the wires along the way to the boxes?

Im located in PA

Thanks guys!

You might call your local electrical inspector regarding where the NM-b can go - here, anything below 8' could not be stapled to the face of, or on top of any of the girts, posts, etc., due to potential damage to exposed cable. Anything over 8' high I could staple anywhere.

I ended up building up the 4' high girt as a raceway to enclose my wire runs between boxes.

I just got done doing this. I ran NM sleeved in conduit. Wasn't that hard to do and came out really clean. I do a lot of fab work so I figured why not. My local inspector recommended it. I passed with flying colors.
