Looking to put up a pole barn style garage. Looking for extra room for vehicles (4-6 cars) and additional storage. I have looked at Morton, Cleary, Graber, etc. Would like opinions and things to look for. Will a 40' x 60' hold that many cars with enough room for lawnmower, bikes, tools, etc?

How big are the cars? Are you also wanting to be able to work around them, or just stack them in like you're playing tetris? That will make a big difference.

If you want to be able to work around them and the cars are nothing enormous, you can easily go 2-deep in 40ft with plenty of extra space. Over the width, you'd probably want 35ft or so for 3 car widths with room to open doors, etc. That leaves your extra 25ft by 40ft depth for your other stuff.

Cleary will have you to go 40 x 64, which is what I did. The added cost is very minimal and easier on them since they deal in 8' increments. Less cutting for them more building for you=win win.

I just finished a Morton build. Its 36x48 I have a thread in here somewhere. I was more than impressed with the build quality of Morton.
