Hey guys,
I am the proud new owner of a 36x54 pole barn that I'd like to add heat to. I picked up a 150,000 BTU hanging unit forced air heater from a friend this weekend, and it has about an 8" exhaust duct set up to accept a double wall pipe. I'm trying to figure out how I can/should penetrate either the roof or the side wall without (rain) leaks. This must be a common exercise, so how can the ribbed metal sheathing/roofing seal up to the exhaust stack/pipe?
