Pole barn in E. TX - - 5 Starr or Rob-Bilt?

Wondering if anyone has had experience w either company last year or two?

Or a recommend for a builder in my area?

30 x 40 basic pole barn shop.

No help here, but is there a farmer's coop or something like that in the area? It might be a good place to post a flyer asking for recommendations. When I built my shop I put an ad in the company for sale sheet asking for recommendations on builders and got several.

Ask the companies for list of recent builds....then go look at them

I've thought of that but hesitated asking, not knowing if that's really done.

I mean, I figured in this day of "privacy" stalker paranoia stuff.

Do you think most company's would do that?

Obviously, does not hurt to ask, but just wondering if that's "normal".

Still hoping for experiences, need to decide soon.

Favoring 5 Starr cause I have a slighly sloping site, and they will handle total turnkey, while Rob Bilt does not do in house crew concrete. Marc

Have you checked with Mueller Inc, metal buildings? I know someone that used Chad West, "Need a Porch" guy. He says the guy did good work but it took awhile. He didn't necessarily recommend him. Chance Construction is another possibility. They are busy with the Fairmount project but still may be able to help you. I live off of 3315 in the Fairmount area. I had a local guy build my garage but he is not able to do that type of work any longer. I have not heard of 5 Star or Rob Bilt.

Mueller makes a great building. Built very well. May be pricier than local shops. There is a place in Navasota which may be a bit of a drive depending on how deep east you are but they do deliver and are supposed to be well built.
