Hello Everyone,
I’ve search high and low and couldn’t find answers to my insulation questions, so here I am.
I have a newly constructed pole barn. Wood board and batten siding.
I’d like to insulate but am concerned about condensation/vapor barriers.
Walls: My thought is to use 2” rigid foam insulation nailed directly to the girts. I figured framing walls and using fiberglass batts would result in mold where the fiberglass touches the wood.
Ceiling: I’m concerned about condensation from the metal roof dripping down onto the ceiling insulation. Do I need to run plastic sheeting over the insulation and use unfaced batts underneath, or can I just blow in insulation and assume air flow will dry out any moisture that drips down?
