pole barn main breaker or disconnect

I'll be putting electrical in my pole barn. I have 200 amp service in my house and will be running either 2-2-2-4 or 2-2-4-6 mobile home feeder in PVC, distance is 150 ft. The largest amp draw will be either a 240v welder or a 240v compressor, not both as there will be only one outlet, the rest of the load will be LED lighting and hand tools. I currently have a 50 amp double pole breaker in the house panel that I am not using and am planning on replacing that with a 70 amp double pole breaker to feed the pole barn.

With all that explained, I have a Square D QO breaker panel that can be set up as either a main breaker or main lug panel. Is there a preferred way to wire the feed? I can install either a 70 amp main breaker which would mean I would have two breakers in the feed to the pole barn that are both the same size. My other option is to install a disconnect switch rated for at least 70 amps at the panel in the pole barn.

I would prefer the 70 amp main breaker as it would be a cleaner installation, I will ultimately be installing drywall and the disconnect switches that I found are surface mount.

Thoughts and comments are appreciated -

I would just put it all in one place, inside the panel with the main breaker. To me, MLO panels are only for when you already have a disconnect right there. I don't see much point in them if you'd need to add a separate disconnect.

A fusible switch is going to be 100A for 70A, a main breaker is going to be cleanest & simplest solution.

Is having breakers on both ends of the feed OK ? I realize it's much like a belt and suspenders but I agree it would be the cleanest.

I have 60 amps to my garage, panel in garage is 100 amp. it's 100amp main breaker is considered the disconnect, the 60 amp breaker in the house protects the cable to garage. all recessed flush mounted with styrofoam and plywood behind the panel
