Hey guys, just joined after reading a lot of useful information.

Anyhow I've got a little bit of a decision to make and all useful opinions are welcome. I'm in the final process of signing a contract on a 24X32 pole barn.
I'm having a little debate on the placement of it on my property right now. I'll post a few pictures in a little bit. I'm working on just shy of a half acre corner lot with a 1300 sqft house on it.
Option 1 is a straight shot off the driveway through the opening in the fence and about 50 feet into the barn. The door is going to be a 10x10 single slider with a access door on the side not visible to the road. Pretty simple, nothing to move no obstructions or anything. My problem is its going to be pretty close but not on the counties B.R.L. (building restriction line) and it kinda puts in in the middle of the yard. Also if you're sitting in the dining room enjoying your morning coffee and breakfast it's gonna be pretty much all you see.

Option 2 is the more aesthetically pleasing spot. the back corner of the yard, away from the BRL and farther from the main road. Building would have to be turned 90 degrees and the driveway ( which isn't going to be added until later) I have to be 7 feet off the set backs per county regulation. Problem is with this spot I've got my 8x8 shed with a overhang and a wood pile and bonfire wood that would have to be moved all before i can start leveling the pad. The 8x8 could probably be moved if i jacked it up and made a sled to go underneath it. The wood i can also move no big deal. So here you can still have a nice yard, look out and not see the barn, little bit farther off the main road, downside is a little more work before the real work begins.

Like I said I'll try to post some pics later. I'm new here just trying to get a few ideas to see if any of you guys and gals went through the same dilemma and what you would or wouldn't do.

Thanks!

Option 2 sounds like a no brainer. That 8x8 shed should be nothing to move. It may require a little more work now but it will pay off in the end without a doubt.

Yeah I'm going with option #2 for 2 reasons, and....I wont have to move ANYTHING which also adds another plus for me later on down the road.

So when the soon to be wife got home we went out and flagged it out and she brought up a really good idea. Far enough off of the shed that I dont have to move anything. And, the best one....later on if I need more room I'll have an extra 14 feet to expand out to.

Here's a rough idea of where I'm putting it. Mind you its about 5 feet from the face of the shed. I know the little flags are hard to see, I thought i had some grade stakes and red ribbon.
