Pole Barn Question Long Island NY

Hi All I have been a long time reader and finally decided to register to be more involved when time allows.

I am interested in having a pole barn built and just wondering if anyone in here has been down this road before nearby.

Other than some hear-say from friends locally, i haven't had any conversations with anyone that has been through the process with choosing a company to install it locally as well as working with the town and their rules etc.

It would be built in the town of Huntington which has it's own set of rules as most towns and villages do.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Wood has no business being in the ground in any part of the northeast. Pour the slab and build on that.

Thanks for your replies guys. I am looking for any feedback I can get.

Naturally cost is an issue and for the kind of use it will see I would prefer the simplicity of a pole building.
