Pole Barn Steel and electrical boxes

I would like to mount some lights on the front of my pole building. The interior is not finished yet. I don't care a whole lot for the surface mount exterior boxes. What is the best way to get a box mounted on/in this ribbed steel that I can put a nice outdoor light on ?

I am considering a round "remodelors" box with rope caulk behind the flange.

I am paranoid about water penetration so I may have to go with the surface mount box.

Would love to see some pictures of the correct way to do this so it is done right and looks good.

Take a gander in yer local Big Box store, in the Wxproof electrical constuction stuff

section. You will find PVC boxes that mount directly to PVC conduit,

in a variety of configurations. I would imagine that there will be more

than enough to fill your needs/wants. Why are you so set against

surface mount equipment ? I don't see a problem, other than it being

visible, but hey, it's an out building.

Mount it high up in the eves so that you don't have to penetrate the metal. I had to install a light over my man door to satisfy the electrical code/inspector. I put the light way up in the eve and it works great.

I too have a desire to minimize the holes I cut into the siding.

We use wallpaks on pole buildings. Then it's just sealtite flex into the back of them.

That sounds interesting.... have to admit that I don't know what a wallpak is.....
