pole barn top band for trusses

hello brothers ? whats better 2 2x12s sanwiched together notched into 6x6 or 1 2x12 notched on each side of 6x6 for pole barn?wy gus think or does it matter 32x28 foot to sit trusses on ,4 foot oc?

I built pole barns for about a year, 20 years ago, we never notched the poles for the top plates. And we used 2x6 trusses and put them on 8ft centers. This was in southern MO where snow load usually isn't an issue.
