Pole barn vs concrete block?

Pole barn construction vs concrete block construction?
Have some time before this project starts but we’re in the planing stages of building a shop for our business. We are relocating to ga.
wanting to do a 40x40x18 maybe or a bit larger.
starting to wonder which is the best way to build it, wood vs concrete block. The only issue I see with block could be the price and no way to insulate. Anyone have concrete block shops? That could throw some input in?

So many pieces to this choice. I'd think pole barn would be less cost but dependent on labor and what you can do yourself, if any. Soil conditions would play a part.

Of all the choices out there, concrete block would never in a million years be on my list!
Ugly, cold, hard to finish, and very "dated".
Take those same dollars a go with a first rate pole building. I'll bet that it'll get you somewhere near a insulated and finished interior.

I wish I knew how to search GJ because not long ago someone posted a picture of their block garage - 3 stall iirc - that received many posts about how good it looked. Integrally colored block, some or all split face, some features like a soldier course or something. Much better looking than the ubiqutos metal sided pole barns imho.

Bill I stand corrected.
I completely forgot about the colored split face block and the others. I immediately thought of my buddy's that had masonry buddy's. This was back as a much younger man and they just used regular block. We didn't care how it looked as long as it kept the weather out back then.
I still wouldn't want to try to insulate one, but the guy's building in GA.
It does also complicate wiring and and plumbing supply lines.
A little bit of planning with trim colors and a wainscot, shutters etc. does a fine job for little to no extra cost disguising a simple "barn metal" buildings exterior.

Block building you'd have to do some finishing to insulste like any other structure.
More then anything else it comes down to how much you have to spend

One option for block is efis. Just 2" of foam on a mass wall us fine in Georgia.

and who knows, one might find a property with everything they want on it already built.
