Pole Barn Wood Siding & Sub-Panel Install

I have an old pole barn that has rough cut vertical wood siding with small gaps between the boards and gravel floor. The gaps are relatively small but you can see light through them from the inside. The roof is metal and seems pretty tight. I was going to run power and install a sub-panel mounted on plywood. Do I have to do anything special because the structure is not "weather tight", above and beyond what you would do for a normal garage sub-panel?

Further down the road, I was considering doing something to better seal the exterior - perhaps installing battens or siding over the exterior. I am sure others have faced this - what have you done? Should I worry about moisture build up in the garage? There is some water that comes into the gravel floor on the up-hill side when it rains and the floor can get a little muddy there and I am planning to add some more gravel.

Thanks!

They make outdoor rated panels. I’d look into that.

Along with a 3R panel you'll also have to run wiring appropriate for damp locations, i.e. UF-B (protected) or thwn in conduit
