I have 2x6 diagonal braces in my pole building. I will be putting girts in for finishing off the inside. Can I remove the diagonals once I do this or do I need to work around them? Thanks.

probably they are part of the engineered drawings, so they would need to stay

Diagonal braces keep the building from acting like a parallel ruler and racking.

Doesn't the need for diagonals depend on what sheathing you are going to install. Typical stick built garages have osb on the outside and no diagonals anywhere.

Wall height has a lot to do with this. Other than possibly window placement, why would you remove them? Hopefully not to save $100 of lumber!

You have diagonal braces because the posts are not in the ground which would have given the building shear value.
