Hey there!
We are planning to have a 40x50x16 with a 12’ shed roof on one side. I’d like to elevate the building site about 12-15”. The guy who came out to bid the project said we could use pit run/bank run to build up most of it and then finish it off with some 3/4” crush road base. After spending all of last summer drilling post holes for fencing, the last thing I’d want to run into is pit run?! Do these skidsteers with augers just blast through rock? Thats my main question. Do people typically build a pad using 1-5” pitrun? I just want to make sure I am understanding him correctly. Pit run is the last thing I want to run into, but it is way cheap in my area so I want to make sure I’m not getting overly excited.
Thank you!
