30 deep by 42 long shop, just got the tin up today. Need to plan gutters. Should I pay someone to come bend up some continuous gutters, or are the solder type going to be good? It'll be a 45 foot run at the fascia.

Thanks!

When I bought my house 25 years ago, I had a company come and put up seamless aluminum. They were here and gone in just a couple of hours. House with attached garage is about 70' long. Back then it was a few hundred dollars.

Metal roof? If you get snow, you'll want snow guards up there as well. Otherwise, those gutters may get ripped off after a heavy snowfall.

For 40' seamless gutters with snow guards I was quoted ~$900.

I had my shop done with seamless gutters. Two runs about 50' long each, one downspout per gutter. I paid about $700 and they were done in no time.

This is the second story back of garage 50 ft. section and I recently had another downspout and leaf guard added. One downspout was overwhelmed with a heavy downpour.a288eb6377138a070561ae0b05811b05.jpg

Gutters are 100% worth paying for. They'll be done before you line up materials and get your first 10ft section done

100% this. They put a 28' 1pc on the rear of mine, and took less than 30 minutes....well worth the $275.

Like everyone says:
A job for the pros.

That is a lot of roof.
Get them double sized with double sized downspouts.

Thanks all for the info.

I thought about doing it as a neat TIG welding project, but if it's really that cheap I'll have them run off some continuous. THanks!

My barn is 56’ long. I had the larger sized seamless gutter/downspouts put up and it was about $800. Very pleased

I'd prefer to have seamless gutter over sections put together. I did the house years, uses 33' sections, which were the longest I could get from HD. I put them up with the help of one person and it wasn't "easy" work.

I always said I would have someone roll out a section next time. Well when next time came around, I bought some sections again and put them together for the front overhang on my garage. I didn't really need gutters but it does keep you from getting dripped on when walking out to the garage.

So what will "next time" be for me ? I can't answer that but I do know having someone come out, roll off seamless gutter and putting it up in a short period of time can't be a bad thing.
