I want to build a 28x26 pole garage in my back yard this coming spring. I know basic carpentry and masonry.
Does anyone know where to look on the web for help in building a pole garage or a good book that could help me out?

thanks, Jason

Lowes and Home Depot have a small "library" section near the service desks. You can browse the books and pick out the one that looks like it would work best for you. Or as I do...Find the book you like, write down the name/title, and find it on half.com alot cheaper.

A local pole building supplier might have seminars on the weekend. Ours has a "how to" on Saturday's, which helps them sell product also.

If it is your first one I would get help setting the poles.
Everything depends on their being square and straight.

Lots of good info if you do a Google search.

Look into building the shop with a "flush" wall... very easy to insulate and finish when you're ready.
