Pole Shed with Ridge Light Insulation

I have a 30x40 foot 10 foot walls pole shed that I am looking to insulate and heat in Minnesota. The shed has a full length polycarbonate ridge light and no soffits. I don’t really want to put in a ceiling and blow in insulation for two reasons. One I’d like to keep the ridge light. Two, someday I’d like to put in a 4 post lift. The car would be lifted between the trusses.

The walls are pretty easy. I plan to put up a vapor barrier between each post bay. Then frame out 2x6 24 inches on center. Then put in roll batting. Plastic 4 mil over that and finally 7/16 osb.

What options do I have for the ceiling? Spray foam is probably out of the picture. The attached pictures are when it was first built. It now has a cement floor.

Should have gone with taller walls and a normal ceiling. Probably would have been cheaper and easier than doing a workaround now.

Could maybe look into the blanket insulation with plastic backing like they use in metal frame buildings. It gets attached to the purlins. Ridge light has to go, or at least get covered if you want heat full time. You will lose a lot of heat though it.

You would have to construct a homemade sun tunnel(sun tube) that follows panels.

I built what I could afford at the time. 4 years ago, when this was built, I didn’t have plans to insulate. The more I research, I think I’m best off putting up a ceiling and blowing in insulation. Possibly getting a proper ridge vent installed.

The sun tunnel is an interesting product, thanks.

You could put in a conventional ceiling with metal liner in most of the building. Then in between one set of trusses frame it up higher.
