Building a 36-40-12 pole shop. R20 walls and R40 ceiling insulation, not sure the exact value on the doors. Currently looking at a Calcana 75000 BTU radiant heaters. This should be the right size I think, what do you guys think? Originally I was thinking of mounting the 20ft unit parallel to the doors 10 ft from each right down the middle. Now i'm thinking 10 ft from the opposite side of the doors, perpendicular to the doors so it would be closer to where I am working.. Oh and i'm located in Rocky Mountain House Alberta.

There are online heating calculators that you can use to tell you your btu per hour needed for the building. Are you trying to keep it heated all the time or just when you are working in there?

My pole barn dims are exactly what you have including insulation values. I’ve got 1 door that is 20x 12 and 1 that is 10x8 I was quoted 100,000 btu’s for a 40 ft infrared tube heater, location: Michigan.
