polebarn / workshop/gar. new const. insulate?

getting ready to start const. EVERYBODY tells me some thing different about to insulate the roof area, its going to be used as a workshop/gar. not everyday use, prolly woodstove heat, pex tubing in floor for use later etc.poss solar hot water for pex or ? main question is to insulate roof or just good venting solfits or? south new jersey near philly pa. thanks in advance...denny p.s. mainly to prevent sweating of building/moisture prob. rusting of equip. etc.

alot of it just depends upon your comfortability with heat or cold? i have worked in tons of shops that are on the "colder" side of things and cold doesnt really faze me so i have not insulated anything in my garage, now latter on down the line i will more than likely insulate it a bit at a time but for now it doesnt bother me. However if you can easily afford to insulate it i say go for it, but if its the difference between say having a lift or insulation or some other thing you might rather have first, then that might sway your decision
