A few months ago I bought a Miller MIG welder & a spoolgun for occasional alum. projects. My brother asked me if I could make him a poling/casting platform for his boat & this is the result. I would rather have TIG welded it but I don't have one. I think it still turned out OK. I took the pic right after I finished it this past weekend & he has since added a top & says it's plenty sturdy but kinda scary being that high up.
