I just built a shop and the concrete is virgin. They used a power trowl and it is pretty smoothe as is. I have a 2000rpm polisher already. My question is, is it possible to polish the concrete with the machine I have using a densifier. Without renting a grinder and grinding it first? Thanks in advance.

Rent a floor buffer from home depot, the kind used to do wood floors. Get some of the scrrening discs that are used for final sanding.

Polishing concrete is more involved and requires more maintenance than you might think.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zn_UYflVLvE

We have a lot of customers put clear polyurea over instead

Generally polishing is not an ideal treatment for a garage since it's porous and will stain, even with densifiers or stain blockers. Better to use something that seals the floor. If you do polish consider a topcoat of Ballistix which will protect it 100%.
