Speedy Metal Polish is by far the best and fastest polish out there. It cuts fast and doesn't make a huge mess like some of the other polishes on the market. It also has a sealant in it to protect the surface . My work truck is an aluminum step van parts of it I polished over 5 years ago and it still looks fairly good (it could use another polishing) but I can live with it . A buffer would make the job go fast but it's possible to do by hand .

I was at a home show once and seen a guy do a demonstration with "Flitz" and something similar to the power ball. It worked pretty well.
