I need to polish the aluminum wheels on my truck. I've used the mothers power ball mini before but I need something with some more speed behind it. Is there a "local "store I can get these from?

Don't ask.
You don't want to use a grinder (wrong speed) for polishing. You want to get a polisher (mine looks like a die grinder) that runs at lower speed.

You could pulse your grinder machine to slow down the polishing, but I just destroyed the polishing pad that came with the 5'' holder on the Harbor Freight kit. Granted that polishing pad was complete garbage the power was just too much for it. Do think any machine would have killed that pad though.

Harbor freight polisher works just fine, but the pads it comes with are junk.

A drill with an adapter will work OK as a polisher.

I would NOT use a grinder. It will be an awful experience and you'll probably ruin your pad and/or your wheels. I've tried it before, its very difficult.
