Just wanted to get some good advice, I have almost completed my shop but I am in need of a metal carport to park my extra vehicles in to keep them out of the elements. I have 7 vehicles and a couple are outside so I plan to buy a 18x21 metal carport but my question is how high should the sidewalls be? One of my vehicles is 6' 8" tall so should I get the 7' foot sidewall or will the 6' rise up enough to clear this vehicle I am getting a standard style the has a regular peaked roof. Just wasn't sure so I though someone might have some experience at this.

thanks,

its amazing how many people here can't read.
6" sidewall then it has a peak in the center, he ask if the peak be higher enough for the 6'8 vehicle.

its depends on the pitch. if its a 2/12 then it be 18 inches in center, 2 inches every 12

I do not know if you live in a snow area, but my inlaws metal carport collapsed, in 2010 here in VA totaling one car. It seemed to be made well but 20" of snow destroyed it.

As to a bunch of vehicles I built a garage big enough to hold 9 of them, that is my advice, or a least a well built lean-to on the side of your shop.
