Poly Air Hose Ends

Swivel ends in my cheap 1/4" coil air hose are leaking...tried fixing them but they're press fit and there's no hope left in them.

Anyone know where I can find replacements for a couple bucks in Canada? Tried the usual amazon/ebay but not finding anything (even for more expensive) which makes me think I'm searching by the wrong term? Would prefer NOT the barb fitting kind with a hose clamp, as I use this indoors with a nail gun mostly and that's just asking for scratches on floors and such.

Hose was all of $25 regular price and I think I got it for half that on sale, so unless the ends are super cheap, there's no real point in repairing it and I'll just buy a new one when they're on sale again.

I have had some success with a barbed fitting and using the pex plumbing ring clamps

Talking this style, don't think barb and pex stuff will work:

Wouldn’t a compression type fitting work, Home Depot, Lowe’s, or ace.

I think they have a slip in fitting and then an outside ferrel with a nut....

If not a hose shop should have fittings.

Compression fittings will work, but you need the little metal inserts purpose-made to slip into the ID of the hose so the fittings dont crush the hose. Box stores may or may not carry them.

Any truck parts store will have either compression DOT with the inserts or Push To Connect(PTC) DOT fittings with inserts.

Call Ontario Hose in Kingston.. they will have the push to connect set up mentioned.
A 27' section with 1/4" mpt threads was $27ish complete.

From the looks of it, any repair is going to cost more than the hose is worth...I literally can't justify it if an end costs more than a few bucks.

Thanks for the ideas though!

>> Would prefer NOT the barb fitting kind with a hose clamp,

How about using the barb fitting and hose clamp and then swap ends of the hose so you have the factory fitting at your nail gun?
