Poly wood or Serwall plastic rocking chairs

Does anyone have first hand experience with these rocking chairs made of plastic or poly wood. They are fairly cheap to fairly expensive and look pretty decent. They are all over Amazon on sale and I want to replace my wooden rocking chairs on My front porch.

I have a pair, but not sure on brand. Also have two Adirondacks that I think are trex branded.

Squirrels love chewing on them. The rockers are on my porch and have faired fine, but the Adirondacks are in a flower/mulch bed and have chew marks in a bunch of spots.

Other than that, they are holding up great. A quick pressure wash cleans them right up

Indirectly.... we stayed at a resort on Lake Wawasee in Syracuse, Indiana, and all their outdoor furniture was Polywood, which is made in the same town.

it was all several years old, exposed to northern Indiana weather and public use, and it all looked and functioned great, with no loose joints, etc. So although Polywood furniture seems very expensive, you do get what you pay for with that brand, and they really are made in the USA.

Just one small anecdotal data point. I have no idea whether the other brands or cheaper brands also hold up as well. And of course ordering any name brand through Amazon can have its pitfalls.

I have a pair of all black ones. Only a few months old, but sitting outside 100% of time. So far they seem fine. Cats keep squirrels away, so no issues there.

We have trex branded porch swing and tables. Has held up great and as mentioned it cleans up easily with a pressure washer. Our front porch rockers are some kind of laminated wood and every year I have to remind my wife not to spray them with a pressure washer. Polywood sends us a catalog and its not cheap stuff. The trex items she got off of wayfair at a deal and when one leg was bad causing a wobble on the table trex sent a new one without issue.

I've got about $15K of Polywood and highly recommend. Customer Service is excellent and they hold up in the weather. Other pro is that if you want additional/replacement furniture in the future, it's likely they will have it.

I just got and assemble 2 Serwall rocking chairs. $78 each on Amazon. They are pretty sturdy and comfortable
