They did not test it. He says it's 31 days old, should be fine. It looks really heavy, the chips are stacked up and it's really not semi-smooth. Is this intentional? I have no experience with these coatings and I really think the concrete looked much better. The bubbles are found throughout and don't concentrate on the cracked parts. The guy is very unhappy and I'm afraid he won't fix it right. They came through and knocked bubbles down with a scraper and they plan to re clear coat. Not everywhere though, just in the affected spots.
It did rain tremendously between the sanding and application of bed coat. Very humid too.
I feel like I need to give this guy clear instructions on what's acceptable, he's really trying to get off this job and I think is probably at risk of losing money on this garage. So much in unplanned labor costs. I think he might just get pissed off eventually and say screw it. It's unfortunate because he is a good contractor, he also did a stamped concrete patio for us that far exceeded our expectations.
