A caller reached out to me tonight regarding a poly-aspartic coating that had a crack through it. Not sure who's product he used.
After further investigation it appears that the substrate cracked and took the floor coating with it.
Summary, he really needs to chase the crack, fill with an epoxy filler, allow to cure and coat over the repair.
He was worried about the appearance. Unless you have a closely matching touch-up kit, it will look like a repair. However, you can always re-coat the entire floor after a light sanding (removing the gloss), now or in the future.
Hope this helps.
