Polyuera Floor Problems/ Questions

So I had a company do my polyuera floor since I read on here that working with the solids can be tricky as opposed to the 2-part epoxy and I wanted it done "right."

So did a lot of research on what type of floor and then did a lot of research on the company that installed it.

Specifically went with this particular company because of good reviews on Yelp, and because when I spoke with them they answered all the questions to my satisfaction.

One of the specific reasons was they diamond grind the floor before install... some of the other companies I contacted only diamond ground the areas where the car tires reside and then acid etched everything else.

Anyway they put the floor in and did grind it etc. But in a lot of areas the flakes were sticking up and the floor was rough.

So I contacted them about it. The owner came out and saw the floor and agreed it needed to be resurfaced as it was too rough.

He claimed wind was the issue that caused the flakes to have lifted.

So they came out again, only this time they did the entire floor in about 45 minutes.

My wife was home and said she didn't hear any sanding at all.

Come home to find several spots of dirt and even a spot of oil that had basically been cleared over.

So to my eyes... they didn't clean the floor properly (if at all) the second time they came out... it looked to me like they merely came out and put some more clear down.

Contacted the company... AGAIN... they sent a guy out to "patch" the dirt spots.

So he came out, and sanded down the clear to the dirt, and then reapplied clear over those spots.

THEN... a day later one of the areas on the floor lifted completely. The clear had completely come up... BUT only the "new" clear... it was obvious the old rough surface with the clear was still in tact.

So they came out again and patched... and this time my wife heard sanding.

The last time they came out it took them about THREE hours to patch ONE spot (the area that had lifted) but when they re-did the floor the first time it took them about an hour.

The owner claims they ground and so forth on the second install. I'm positive they didn't. Perhaps they lied to him and told him they did? Or maybe he knows they didn't... I'm not sure.

But here's my dilemma now.

I have a floor that I paid 2k dollars to put in and I now have several patches all over the floor. And I'm suspecting that there will be more areas that will lift in the coming weeks/months.

So what do I do?

I've already paid and despite asking for a discount they did not give me one.

Should I write my review on yelp and call it a day?

Should I not write my review since I'm fairly certain the floor will have to be worked on AGAIN once other areas lift and they might not be cooperative in fixing it if I do?

Are there any other options I'm missing?

Thanks for any help / advice.

What does your contract and installation warranty state? Check with the manufacturer or the product about steps required for re-coating.

Where are you located?

I'd at the least write a very unemotional, fact filled and honest Yelp review about your horrible experience.

Then I'd contact the company again with my concerns and pictures of the patches and ask if this is an acceptable project and let them know my brand new floor is suppose to be a brand new floor all over and look it.
