Hello. Newbie here. I'm moving into a new house in a few weeks and want the garage floor epoxied before the moving truck arrives, as I know as soon as it arrives, I'll never see some of my floor again.
I located an installer who has been around a while and done many garages in the neighborhood. I've seen some of his installs and they look good. He does diamondgrind and crack fill as prep, and uses Arizona Polymer Chemicals.
When we met for a quote, I mentioned I'd read about polyaspartic floor coverings, and he said that they use that material also, and if I wanted that as the topcoat instead of polyurathane, it would be the same price. I assume because he would save on labor as it would turn a 2.5 day job into a 2 day job.
I'm leaning on going with the polyaspartic as the research I've done says it holds up better against UV rays, retains gloss better and shortens the time my garage is not avaialable to be used.
What says you?
Thanks much.
