I am planning on putting down Legacy Industrial's Nohr-S Polyurea in my new 28x40 shop. I am also using a Delta Dye. Due to the terrible mid-atlantic weather, I have not had a good set of days, or the time at home, to complete the job.

My question is between Acid Etch, Dye, and the final topping of Polyurea, is there a time limit? Could I acid etch and dye this weekend, and put the polyurea down next weekend?

Yes, you can. Just make sure the surface is clean (no dust) before you apply the Nohr-S.

That looks awesome mate! Nice to see something different. I went the epoxy, flake, poly top coat previously, but if I did it again I would consider something similar.

Did you acid etch AND use the delta dye? I'm not familiar with the Delta Dye process but I too am using Nohr-S in the gray pigment. The reason I'm asking is that I too am acid etching and it looks similar to the picture of your floor with the white residue on it after acid etching it... Did you power wash all of that off and then Delta Dye it?

I did the acid etch with muriatic acid from a pool store. I neutralized the acid with a mix of baking soda and water (and then sprinkled baking soda around on top) until the fizzing and bubbling had subsided. Power washing all of that gunk off probably would have been the best option (but I own 2 broken power washers), so instead we sprayed and broomed the floor clean. I needed to scrub some of the baking soda residue off the floor with a broom even after washing. But it seemed to broom and vacuum up fairly easily. Power washing probably would have saved the broom and vacuum step.
