So after looking at both GS8510 and HD40 I was not able to pick a clear winner. Neither really gave me the total package I was looking for. I started to look into the polyurea coatings as I would get the protection I wanted and the gloss look I wanted.

So what Im looking for are some reviews from people who installed polyurea clear on there garage floor and how its holding up in the real world. Particularly want to hear about install and oil/stain resistance. How is the coating when wet with or with out flake etc. Thanks.

Howdy (almost) neighbor. I am a little farther south, but relatively close.

I am actually working through this right now. I have a floor and am trying to decide how best to treat it. Scotty at Legacy Industrial (member here on the forum) has been very helpful thus far. I was considering the HD40, but with stained concrete, it is not compatible, so now I am considering the Nohr-S Polyurea.

Should be laying it down sometime in the next month or so, if the weather cooperates.

Thanks, I grew up in SoMD/CC. Same boat. I was planing on getting the floor done this winter but the temps and weather so far have not been very cooperative, lol. Id be curious to how you make out as Im going to push off until the spring. Did they suggest you grind or etch prior to application?

That is what I am waiting to hear back on. I am trying to determine the all-in 'costs' of 2 options. 'Costs' to include my time involved.

The wife and I did an Epoxy-Coat application in our attached garage about 8 years ago. It has held up very well over the years, but it did yellow or fade quite a bit.

I used this product, very easy to apply and great service from Scotty at Legacy!

I had never done any type of floor coating before this and had no issues with the NOHR-S, so far it seems extremely durable. I have moved a race car, tractor and scissor lift around on the floor and no damage. Everything needed to coat the floor was included in the kit, minus a drill to use with the included mixer.

Scotty may not want me to tell you this, but he is on call for any questions during the application process and beyond!

I had never done any type of floor coating before this and had no issues with the NOHR-S, so far it seems extremely durable. I have moved a race car, tractor and scissor lift around on the floor and no damage.

Good to hear about the race car. My concern with epoxy is the tire pull up. I have a ton of cars running r-comps and that is one of my major deterrent from going the epoxy route, that and I want the look of the natural concrete marble of by polished floor. Trying to balance the bang for the buck, finished look, and chemical/oil resistance makes for some hard decisions.

i pulled the shelby in with more than warm mickey thompson 325/5o drag radials (hey rocks needed cleaning off the tires) haha.

I think the true test was the scissor lift, no telling what that thing weighs and tires twisting while turning cant be easy on a floor.

oh one more thing. i was moving the car trailer in the shop with the tractor, at the time it had the lift on the trailer. It slipped off and slid about 4ft on the trailer jack, no significant damage. Barely even left a mark on the clear.

I would be curious to hear how that works out. Ive had issues with r comps pulling up, but dont tend to turn the wheels side to side like your saying. Thanks for the info!

I ordered my Delta-Dye and Nohr-S Clear Kit at the end of last week. Can't wait to get it put down. Just need the weather to cooperate a little.
