A few years ago polyurea was toted as the up and coming best floor coating, looking recently into floor coatings there is precious little talk about it. I
Have there been better products made or didn't polyurea hold up to its hype?

Polyaspartics are the more popular, but they are double the price of epoxy systems and not as thick, polyaspartics are great for cold weather and where you need very fast drying, other than that epoxies are a bit easier to work with and less expensive. Almost no polyurea is sold alone any more.

We carry a great hybrid product called SPGX which is a hybrid polyaspartic/polyuera one part coating.

Our Polyurea, Nohr-S, is extremely popular and trumps epoxy systems in many ways.

I️ think the hype was on the money!!

Looking into polyurea as well. I here it is a lot more shinier than the aliphatic clear coat?
And this is the look I'm going for.

Hi,
We really don't see any visual differences really between urethane topcoats and polyureas or polyaspartics. They all basically look the same when applied and cured.

Polyurea, in general, is not as glossy as aliphatic urethane. However it does hold its gloss just as well.
