I just started to refinish an oak coffee table this is golden oak in color. I started with Watco Refinisher and ran out when finishing the legs. I went to get more and can’t find that product anywhere now and even Amazon says it is unavailable. Assuming it is not available, at least for a long time, what are some recommendations for stripping the poly? I sent an email to Rustoleum and will try and call today to find out why it is not available at any the stores (Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, McCoy, etc.).

I believe it is polycoated, but I guess it could be one of those varnish type coatings with some coloring in it. The Watco was working okay and it was helping me to avoid using the gels, scraping etc. But I need a plan B now.

I’ve always used Kleen-Strips Premium.
Never any issues as long as it is washed well after removing.
It’s the stuff that’ll curl your nose hairs!

Thanks K-B. I have been reading reviews on several products and that does seem to be one of the better ones. I have been wanting to add another fan for the garage for the summers and I think the time is now.
