I started out spinning wrenches with Craftsman RP's, but with the low cost offerings today that are worlds ahead in comfort and design, it doesn't bother me a bit to see them used like that.

Considering it is on a Craftsman website and the tools are 100% Craftsman, I would be willing to bet that Sears sent the guy a bunch of tools from the returns bin in a few stores.

Wow that's awesome. Ahh, those are RP ratchets. Heard that term earlier and yeah I've had several of the quarter inch ones start spinning on me.

Great job creating art with old wornout CM RP. Definitely worth more money or appreciated much more dead than alive....;)

I'm sure that's what happened. The Sears store I worked at had more than enough old ratchets in the back room to do this. I've often wondered if every store has hundreds of them in the back, and what will happen to them when they close up shop...

Under its eye socket I can see a mid 40's Plomb made ratchet. There are probably other collectable rats in the pile too.
Kind of annoying but this is a trend in the 'art' world now so it's futile to get worked up over it.

That does look really cool. Killer garage art, if not just a display piece in the home (I'd do it). Shame that I see some -V- series in there... those were supposed to be some of the better ones. I still have a -v- series RP that is kicking strong. Got it from my wife's grandfather. I pulled the Chinese made one out of the set, and dropped that one in its place. Lol.
