Poor slab angle, now water pooling issues

So I had a slab poured for my 20 x 24 garage, supposed to be sloped 2" to the overhead door. Turns out it is far from that and now when wet vehicles are parked inside the water runs to the side walls and pools up against them. A bit of an issue since there is snow here 6 months a year and my garage is heated.

Does anyone have a product or thoughts on what to use to prevent the water from soaking the 2x6 base of my side walls for half the year? I was thinking like a spray-on sealant or something?? I'm concerned about the water seeping under the 2x6.

Sorry if this is a novice question.

My dad had a problem with water/snow in front of the overhead door leaking in. What he did was poured a small concrete "speed bumb" in front of the door. It was about 3 inches tall and about 10 inches wide with angles on both sides. That worked for his problem.

I'm sure someone will know of a better way than this because of the large area you are talking about, but this just came to mind.

James,

Ha! I wonder if you used the same concrete guy as I did. :) I had the same problem with my 24x33 pour where I had almost an inch deep by three feet trench running the whole width of the garage pooling water and hitting the walls. I got the concrete guy to admit to a bad pour and he paid for the lowspot to get fixed by another concrete company in town here. I'm happy with the result. Drop me a PM and I can tell you more, I'm in Calgary as well.

You could have some control joints sawed in to help direct the water. In my garage I am going to get two more sawed into the floor. the ones that I have stop the water but they are in the wrong location.

I have the same problem in both of my garages with the water pooling. Usually in the winter I kick off most of the slush before pulling in. My garage is heated, so I always go out about an hour later and squeegee the remaining **** out. For the house garage, I am going to pick up a couple of the ribbed rubber mats to park on. That way when stuff drips off it will go towards the door.
