How much of a rise is acceptable for a pop-up emitter to work properly. I realize the amount of water being evacuated makes a difference. Do you think it would work properly with a 10" rise at the end or are they only designed to be used with a regular 4" rise 90* elbow? Any other solutions would be appreciated.

Not sure of your question -- the water will leak out as long as the top of the plate is lower than the bottom the the beginning drain. The lower the end (greater angle) the more water will leave the pipe .... no matter how low there is always some that gets trapped at the 90... that's why they need to be placed in sand or stone .. the 90 has a hole at the bottom.

I have them all over the place -- they can be a pain. Debris can clog the end .. they get stuck. I have lost a few to my lawn people. they excess water going to one spot on the lawn can cause overwater issue with some grass type. I had to make rock gardens at two spots to take the water. My house is elevated on the lot with a steep slope .....i had to install the pipes to take the water down away from the house and gardens.

The emitter is lower than the floor drain, but on the end that has the emitter it has a 10" rise after the 90* elbow. I guess my question is, will there be enough force to push water up the 10" rise.

I have about that much .... all long as the feed tube has some flow you should be fine ... Mine have 30' of pipe before they pop out of the ground. I also have a big drop slope ... so mine are many feet lower than the drain start
