Hi, I was. It aware the racedeck came in boxes already snapped together in 2x2 squares. My pattern I am doing means I need to break them down to single tiles. :(. They are really hard to pop apart and I feel like I am stretching the loops trying to get them apart. Is there any tricks I am missing? Thanks

I grabbed the two adjoining tiles and gave them a twist in the direction that released the tabs from the pins. The first time or to you do it, you think you will damage the tiles, but they are very strong. After that, you quickly snap them apart.

It helps to wear some gloves or mechanics gloves. I found that when dealing with the four connected tiles out of the box, grip the top of two tiles close to the seam. What you want to do is give a quick push pull action. Push on the tile with a loop and pull on the tile with the hook. This will effectively unsnap the first one or two connections. Continue to push and pull till all four connections are undone.

Once you do this it will allow you to unsnap an entire seam at once. With the top of the tile facing up, grab the outside edges of two tiles and bend them over the top of your leg at the seam. Again, give them a quick snap-like action. All four connectors will unsnap at once. Once you figure out how that works, many times you can just unsnap them with a quick flick of your hands without bending them over your leg. The key to doing this is to get that first seam of the four connected tiles undone.

Wear gloves and snap em over your knee, quite easy. I wouldn't worry about damaging them in any way doing this. I did quite a few small layouts before deciding, so a group of mine saw a lot of snapping together and apart, no gap in seams or anything.

Yes, just take the 4 tiles by the outer edge, face up, and in a quick motion push them down over your knee. They will snap apart easily and they won't be harmed.

This is how I did my floor. To start it is annoying but once you get the hang of doing it they come apart like legos.

Hi
If you are unsnapping the panels and feel like you are stretching the locks, you are not unsnapping correctly. Here is a quick how to
Holding a 2'x2' panel you snap upward from the bottom. An easy way is to hold the panel with both hand and then push down over your knee at the seams ( knee pushing on the bottom channels and the top surface facing you). Once you do this once, you will see how the postive locking system works

Happy New Year Year and have fun with your new garage setup
