I would be curiouse to see how many would be interested in a group purchase of the POR-15 floor epoxy paint?

I just talked to Dave At POR-15 Depot and he said if we had a group of ten that wanted the product he could give us 10% discount on the price.

Anyone?

Dave advised he would be watching the page, if there was enough interest he would give us a code to include in each order for the price brake

I am very interested but would need to see actual color samples first. Are they available? I've gotten some from U-Coat-It before that were on 4" x 6" pieces of masonite. I am only interested in the grey family of colors so I'm not asking for a sample of everything. Can they custom tint to macth? I have about 580 sq ft to do and will be using colored chips and clear topping.

Ditto- I sent an email requesting a hard brochure with no response.

I'm definitely interested. I want a light color, but am relatively indifferent on gray or tan

I placed my order today for 1200 square feet in tan (deluxe kit). This stuff is NOT cheap but my guess is it will hold up real well on the garage floor.

Not interested. Too expensive and never have been satisfied with por products or customer service. There's not a tech person there that knows what they're talking about. What makes them think they know floor coatings? Stick with the pro's or proven products.

Maybe you are right. I received my order today and it was a mess. I was missing all the POR 15 paint and most of the activator. All they sent me was the clearcoat and the painting junk (too cheap for me to use).

I called customer service and they were rude. I doubt I get all my product from them as ordered. POR 15 Depot, on the other hand, was friendly and more than willing to make up the deficiency. My garage is now on "hold" while I wait for product.

Well, I was hoping for something new...something more durable. I haven't found a "proven product" in the way of a paint (epoxy or otherwise) that has a resistance to burns from weld spatter. I was hoping this product would be harder/more resistant.

Personally, I've had excellent luck with POR15 products, so I have no prior complaints with the company. I'm sorry to hear your experience with their products was not as positive.

Definately interested for 1600sqft. Looking to order in the next week or 2.

My garage is 1200 square feet. I purchased the POR 15 product and it does cover 400 square feet per gallon.

Hows Every One Doing Today Im David's Son If Anyone Has Any questions Im here To Help

Chris,

If I was running your show I would discount 5% to everyone on this board. You have a GREAT product and what better way to spread the word than by promoting it here on this forum.

Your product is EQUAL to a multi-layered Epoxy system. But, it dries faster and is easier to apply over existing imperfect garage floors.

Has anyone actually used this product? I am very interested, but I would love to hear from someone who has actually used it. My wife would absolutely kill me if I spent all that money and then it sucked.

I used it. Deluxe kit for 1200 sq. feet. Two coats of POR 15 paint followed by chips and three coats of clear. The stuff is very TOUGH and does not peel/flake like Epoxy. My floor is new so I can't comment on how long it may last. But, I will post follow-up at 3 month intervals.

My water based Epoxy floor was showing signs of significant wear after 6 months and needed to be repainted after 18.

The POR 15 product is different than epoxy. You will be able to do spot repairs if necessary down the road unlike epoxy.

Chris:

Any update on the group purchase?

I think there is a price increase going in effect in September, correct? What is the amount of the increase? How does that compare to the discount we will be getting in the group purchase. I ask because if the group discount is 10% and if the price increase is 10% that wipes out the advantage of the group purchase if we do not execute it before the price increase.

Cheers!

I just put in a purchase order for 2 400 sqft basic kits. Chris advised that I was order #4 and #5 of the needed 10 for the group purchase. If you want this deal to go through you need to place your order before tomorrow to get the 10% off as a group purchase.

We have all seen what the product looks like and several people have gone before us and used it. Some with screw ups (which Chris is working on dilligantly to correct) others have not had any problems.

If you look at the number of hits this POR-15 product line has had in the short period it has been up, the product speaks for itself.

Chris - just a suggestion... you have 5 orders in the bag. The longer you delay the greater the risk that those customers will jump ship and go to another product [hint, hint]. Why not process the orders you have, with the discount, of course, to keep your customers happy?
I for one do not want to wait a month(?) for 5 more orders to come in.

All,

I placed an order for 2 kits on Monday, 1.5 and 2.5 car basic, and received them Thursday. I am out of town at a race, but had my wife check the contents and open the cans because I need to do the garage this weekend. She reported that the order was complete and accurate! Great Job Chris!!! Thank you!
