I was recently given 10 porcelin light shades... unfortunately none of them have sockets in them... just the metal shade...

Do any of you have any idea if theres a readily available socket I can buy to put in these?
(pic attached)

I figure its something common, but I'm not sure?

thanks for any help!
Zach

Zach:

I think I recently saw the sockets you need at The Home Depot; look for some hanging blister packs on an end cap facing all the ceiling fans on display. They were either there or on one of their two electrical pieces/parts aisles. :headscrat Then, obviously compare the price of fixing yours (including the time it will take) to just grabbing and buying new complete assemblies and make the call.

I'm betting you'll be buying new ones!

Marty,
thank you.... new ones are somewhat out of the question.... trying to keep everything looking "old" in the garage...
These have a pretty nice finish... but a chip here or there in the porcelin gives them a nice worn in look!

I'll hunt around home depot... probably should have done that before posting anyways!

thanks a lot!
