Porcelain Tile Grout

If I go the porcelain tile route, what can I do to keep the grout from staining with spilled oil, etc.?

I think I'll use rectified tile to get the smallest grout line, but it will still be there.

I don't think using a sealer over all the tile is practical-- it adds cost and would seem to negate the reason for using tile in the first place.

And black grout? OK, but that won't necessarily look right with all colors of tile. I've had black grout before in a bathroom, too, and it seems it dirtied up easily and was tough to get clean.

Is there a type of grout that would be impervious to staining or is there a sealer that can be used just on the grout?

I used epoxy grout in a shower. Supposed to be impervious to water, I'd assume it would be resistant to oil but maybe not solvents?

The downside is that it has a very short working time, and it's much "stickier" than regular grout. This makes it harder to clean off the tiles when grouting.

I used a special poly blend grout that will allow flexibility and stain resistance. Any good tile store should be able to recommend the correct grout for your specific tile...

I used epoxy grout. No problems at all. 2 years and lots of spills, and mine is Mocha color. Still looks great.
