What was the cost of the mortar if you don’t mind sharing? Trying to get a gauge of total cost

Do you guys use epoxy grout or regular grout?
I installed porcelain tile in both of our bathroom floors. On the second one I did years later, I used epoxy grout. It doesn’t stain like the regular grout does. Seems to me that for a tiled garage, grout staining would be a big problem.

I go both ways on this. It depends on what color you are planning. If you are look at light colors then you might be happier with an epoxy or urethane style grout. If you are doing a dark color then use regular grout.

All grout gets dirty, urethane and epoxy just resist "staining". Most people aren't keeping garages super clean and the grout will still end up getting dirty and looking bad no matter what kind it is.

UPDATE

Well it’s been installed for nearly 6 months now and I still love it.

Ive had some minor edge chips from the small metal wheels of my motorcycle lift when trying to wheel around the bikes. Not a big deal, they’re tiny.

The grout, which allegedly was stain-proof is holding up extremely well. I’ve spilled all types of liquids in it, oils, brake fluid, degreasers and nothing has stained or marked it. It wipes right up.

The metal Reno-ramp is holding up excellent with no issues from cars/ motorcycles/ anything. Other than the typical metal scratches from dragging stuff, it still looks great.

I’ve gotten tons of compliments and it makes the garage look so clean and is extremely easy to clean.
