Porcelain Tile PEI Ratings

I'm considering using a PEI 4 Porcelain floor for the majority of the 2100 SF space with a PEI 3 tile for a contrasting color as a perimeter border and between the bays. Is a PEI rating of 3 advisable for this use?

I can't speak to the difference between 3 and 4. I know it's not so much the strength of the underlying tile as it is of the outside glazing.

Sorry, for a 6 bay garage. No snow, but lots of rain.

A home garage, commercial?

Pei 3 isn't "rated" for heavy or commercial use. I would personally find something 4 or 5 for a shop.

This is a collector car garage, where the PEI 3 tile would be a border in front and between each bay.
