To my fellow Long islander's, I am looking to Install Porcelain tile on my garage floor but do not know who has PEI 4/5 tile at a fair price? I noticed a lot of tile at Lowes and Home Depot are not even rated on the boxes? I have a 900 sq ft floor I would love to finish. Cant afford a $4000 epoxy job. If you are on Long island and did your floor please reply to my post.

thanks!!
Ralph

I'd give Old Country Ceramic Tile my vote of confidence. That's the best tile place around.

I just need one of you guys to go to Whistlestop and send some cheesecake..... Some bagels and pizza would be nice too. Grew up in Long Beach. man I miss the food :lol_hitti:beer:

Shoot. :) I was a block from there (just by the "mountain") on Monday night, and will be back there tomorrow, but unfortunately, the only times I'm in the neighborhood, they're not open.

I had a friend who helped a bagel shop setup a mail order operation. Aside from traveling here, I think that's your only option.

As for pizza, I've found good pizza isn't impossible to find. While the appreciation for a good bagel doesn't really seem to be global, the appreciation for good New York pizza seems to be fairly widespread, and just as there's an expat Chinese person with a take-out restaurant in every town in the US, there seems to be an expat New Yorker making good pizza around all sorts of unexpected places.

I remember holding my nose going past 'the mountain' as a kid. Actually found god pizza so I should not complain. Still, have family back there.

My family owned a pizzera for 57 years :) I miss those days

Same here, my family owned 3 pizzerias for 20+ years. What a great time I had as a kid.

We had three that we went to Carini's pizza, Ginos Pizza (both in long beach) and there was one in point lookout with the most amazing crust. Dang, now I am hungry. Come to think of it there was one next to Allied in Mineola I frequented because it was close to work

You want to talk pizza and bagel withdrawals? Move to FL and see how you do!!

Funny you mention that. One of the main reasons why my family got out of the pizza business was because my uncle wanted his cut. He had a brilliant idea of moving his family down to Florida and opening up a pizza joint there. That lasted about a year, went belly up came back to Canada with nothing.

Edit: Sorry OP we derailed your thread just a little bit ;)
