Porcelain wood style tile

Hello all. I've been trying to determine what I want to do with my garage floor for months. Started out with epoxy, them moved to acetone dye or acid stain, now I am considering the hardwood looking porcelain tile. Has anyone installed these in a garage environment? The front runner is still acid stain, but as I always do, I need to exhaust all possible options before pulling the trigger.

I'd be interested to look at pictures. TIA.

Hm... I don't remember anyone in here putting in wooden Porcelain. I MIGHT of started a thread about it, but honestly not sure. I have been thinking about it myself and it is what I plan on doing in the next house. Google will find you 4 or 5 pics of mostly some showroom type garages with exotics, but I don't think there is anyone on GJ who has done it (about 90% sure).

I can't see why it would be a bad idea. I've seen a shop where they did stamped concrete that looked like a wooden floor. It was beautiful.

Tile is tile, right? A wood grain tile might have a lot of texture for a garage floor that might make spill clean up difficult, but other than that, I think it would look sweet.

You're gonna want a LOT of lighting if the floor ends up dark.

Something along those lines, minus the RR, Lotus, Lambo and Porsche. I google imaged this prior to posting and was not able to get any garage pictures.

I would be going for something lighter, not a traditional natural oak look, more of a weathered cedar look. I think an inset herringbone pattern for each side would look sharp, however I'm not sure the floor would go with the industrial look of Gladiator cabinets.

Be careful with some of those long skinny tiles and a herringbone pattern...I don't know much about it but I think there are some particulars about the pattern you should use with those.
