All that money and not a lick of common sense.
This one speeks for itself. It is a hoot.
This person did not want to open his door and get cement in the car.

We use steel in concrete because they expand and contract at about the same rate. I can see the air chisel being used to get the concret off the underside of this one. I would like to see the out come and what they do to this car.

He should have left it in his garage.

I was not sure where to post this. Job security for the body shop and mecahincs.

In this case, the impatient driver got what he asked for, and other than a lot of lost time and re-work, nobody was harmed.
Last week an impatient driver in Sacramento, CA maneuvered his way around the crossing arms at a train/light rail crossing, and pulled his SUV right into the path on an oncoming light rail train. Unfortunately, in this case, several others, including an infant child paid the ultimate price for the driver's impatience.
Chill out, everyone. Life will continue even if you don't rush through every moment of it.

Lotsa hating going on in the comments on that story. It's funny to see dopes wind up knee deep in concrete but about 90% of the comments are just people disgusted that someone would have the audacity to drive a Porsche. People like that annoy me a heckuvalot more than a goober driving around some cones.

Regarding the squad... Rumor is she was responding to a medical or an officer in need of help call...

I got a Porsche. I find the comments funny, and the person who did this deserves it the same way any dope driving any other car should.

I don't drive a Porsche but I recognize the sentiment expressed in alot of those comments. It's the same kind of hate and jealousy that motivates a douchebag to key your Porsche while it sits in the parking lot.

I'm not saying the pic isn't funny and that the driver wasn't a tard. I'm just saying there's alot of angst in those comments and it's directed at the driver because they think he has money.

Yup the hate that goes on against someone who has something nice bothers me as well. I worked my *** off and built several nice cars over the years to have someone key it for no reason. Most of us have been there stuck in traffic for an hour or more when you see a possible go around and you take it.

This guy should have paid closer attention to the work being done and where it was done.

Yes I would have laughed because it is funny

Any guy that has owned a sportscar and done any autocrossing knows the irresistable urge to drive around orange cones.

yes, this car was driven by a women, and she's a lawyer and refused to step out. I think it's happened in Dallas last year.

People drive around cones and barricades all the damn time. Doesn't matter the region of the world, the wealth of the driver or time of day, there's idiots that drive all the time.

This. There are a lot of dry creeks around here and when we finally get a big rain, you invariably see a report on the news of someone getting pulled out of a low water crossing that drove around some cones.

I've been handed my *** by a 911, so I respect the car. You can find a "Porsche attitude" coming out of a Prius driver.

I hope the city sues the driver for every cent it cost to remove and replace the damage he caused. Actions have consequences.

SF is hard enough to drive even without construction going on. SF is not a driver friendly city for drivers in any vehicle. I have sympathy for the guy.

They average 3 people getting hit a day. At least 1 death a week and the city is not even that big.

You're kidding? I grew up in SF and drive there all the time. It's hard to drive there if you don't know how to drive. Don't even start on how bad some people are at parallel parking either.
If you can drive well, you can drive well anywhere.

Agree entirely.

Also reminds me of the jerks who get PO'ed when you lane split on a bike. They seem to think if they can't move in traffic, you shouldn't be allowed to either. Never mind that you're actually helping them by reducing the number of giant single-occupant SUVs sitting in that traffic jam with them...

Oh, and I also agree with the comments about SF being un car-friendly. Was just driving in the city a couple days ago and people just walk out in front of you at random constantly. No wonder pedestrians get hit - they just don't care! I hate driving in the city.

HA! its California. The driver will probably sue because the cones weren't big enough or the correct color scheme and the city will have to pay to clean up his car.:rolleyes2

I think California may be the only state where this is legal. Since a large number of the drivers in California are from someplace else, they think the biker is breaking the law by splitting the lane.

One summer I worked for a city street department. For about a month, we went around the city chip sealing streets. In this process, a tanker would spray tack oil, which was essentially tar, on the road, then a dump truck would spread fine gravel. After a quick rolling, it would be ready to drive on.

One day I was flagging while they were doing a small culdesac. The street was too skinny to do in two halves, so they just closed the entire thing. Not really a big deal, as the 10 or 15 houses would have recieved a notice, and it would only take about 20min to get it drivable.

Just after the road was oiled, I stop a cadillac who wanted to use the street. I told him that he'd have to wait a few minutes, and he responded "********, I live down there, and you can't stop me from getting to my house". He then drove around me and to his house, covering the sides of his car in tar.

I was joking with one of the supervisors about it, and he said that the city would probably end up paying to get the car cleaned even though it was completely the guys fault. Just easier than dealing with the hassle of court.

I work for the street dept of a local municipality and I can tell you that stuff like this is not uncommon. I have only had one incident like this where a women had driven her car into some fresh concrete. Her excuse was that she just thought the road was wet. We told her IT IS.....Same thing, no regard for the cones or workers in green shirts and signs and flaggers. Its not the Porshe....Its a country full of people that careless about anything except what is going on in thier own lives. I dont think people understand just how rude they are. Its a part of everything we do on a daily basis. They dont care about our safety or that the road is being repaired. All they know is we are in thier way and that is unexceptable.
