Looking for a way to run a air or water hose out of the garage, in the winter. Does anyone know of a company that makes a port ? Weather proof and insulated. Bug and mouse proof. Used to see these things on OLD service station doors for the exhaust hose for running vehicles indoors. Thanks for any tips or ideas.

I am about to order one of these for exhaust hoses:

but at my previous shop I used a salvaged cast iron industrial weather resistant 480v flapper cover with a computer mouse pad as the gasket.

I have used a piece of 1.5" PVC with a threaded fitting on each end thorough a cinderblock wall to pass a garden hose out to the yard
On the end used a threaded cap to close it off
This. The caps don't even need to be threaded, slip caps won't fall off. Every sound stage I've ever worked in has 8" PVC "rat holes" with plain caps loosely chained to the building. Stuff insulation in the pipe in the winter.

I bought one of those exhaust ones from some online source. Grainger maybe? Never installed it yet. My door is a bit too thick and haven't had time to sleeve it.

Before I enclosed the garage shed, I used a self closing outdoor rated outlet cover.

It's made for the newer style rectangular plugs and spring loaded. Just put it over the hole, stick the hose out when you need it.

I'd probably put a deep electrical box in the exterior wall with a weatherproof cover on the outside, and put a piece of foam board or rockwool in it when not in use to keep your insulation value.

When it’s cold, the humidity plummets. I suspect that microleaks at the air chuck cause frosting or cold Orings get brittle. My two auto blowdowns hardly ever spit moisture. I suppose I could put some deliquescent pellets in an air filter/ knockout and see if my air gets even dryer.

I have a weatherproof outlet cover screwed direct to the outside of my garage, I used a hole saw and drilled a hole through the sheathing in the center the outlet cover. When I need air outside with the door closed, I fish the airline through the hole and out the outlet cover works perfect for me.

I'm considering doing this between my garage and basement. There are times when I want to drain the water heater to the driveway or feed compressed air into the basement/house from the garage. Since I have cats I'd prefer to not leave the door propped open.

Since it's between the garage and house it probably needs to be fire rated?

Cheers

Went with a 220V weatherproof outlet cover. Made in U.S.A. even. Piece of 2" pvc conduit in door, for a sleeve. Still working on the inside piece of the door.
