I was given one of those battery charger/booster/jump starters on wheels. I didn't use it for quite a while but when I did first plug it in, the unit seems to completely shut down after 30 seconds. Any thoughts? I'm not very good with electronics.
Got a brand/model number? Does it need to be hooked to a battery to stay on? I had a little charger that shut off after a min if it wasn't connected to anything but odds are a big one wouldn't do that.
Wow, those are some terrible reviews. You could open it and look for anything loose or corroded but I bet after looking at those reviews its the control board. I wouldn't junk it, if you have a place like facebutt or craigslist you could offer it for free somebody might want to fix it, convert it to a manual charger, or use it for parts.General PDP Template

I just looked it up after reading your post. I'm now seeing that it is not a well reviewed piece of equipment. Anything I should try before scrapping it or looking to give it away to someone that might be better inclined to do some technical repair work?
