I currently have a single hose portable ac unit, works OK, if I'm very nearby, just the cooler air helps, but has little effect on lowering garage temp, I live in southwest Florida. My garage door is already insulated, and that helped pretty good, considering the low cost and effort. The morning sun made the door extremely hot. Ceiling in not insulated. My garage walls are concrete block, my HOA would never allow a window AC.
I'm wondering if a dual hose portable AC would be worth it, as well as insulating the garage ceiling? Anyone go from a single hose portable to a dual hose?
I know a mini split would be the best way.
