I have a garage that isn't big enough (like many of you I'm sure) so I'm now requiring that everything be easily moved. This pretty much means that everything has to have wheels on it.
This proved to be a challenge for my drill press. I wanted it to be able to roll and move it around easily, but not move or roll around during use. I had to get creative in coming up with a solution. What I ended up doing was mounting it to an appliance dolly and then securing my drill press to the dolly.
It turned out great, moves easily to any area where I am working, and helps to keep my garage organized and clean.
I did a write up on the whole construction process with a lot more pictures and build details at http://offroadaddons.com/portable-drill-press/
